Collection: Tebogo Losaba

Tebogo Losaba (b. 1993) was born and raised in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa.
A self-taught photographer, Losaba has developed a distinctive practice capturing intimate portraits and the raw energy of street life. His formal training includes a Level 4 Fine Arts program at Funda Community Centre in Diepkloof (2023) and an Intermediate course at Market Photo Workshop (2024). He is currently enrolled in the Advanced Programme in Photography at Market Photo Workshop.
Losaba's approach to street photography was shaped by early encounters with photobooks in libraries, where he discovered the work of South African masters David Goldblatt and Andrew Tshabangu. His images reveal the beauty, resilience, and community spirit woven into everyday moments. Rooted in his lived experience of Soweto's dynamic cultural landscape, Losaba's photography embodies the determination of his subjects—people pursuing their dreams against the odds. His work is both witness and tribute to the spaces and lives that shape him.
