Maphoso George

Maphoso George Mokwena is an emerging visual artist born in 1997 in Lephalale, Limpopo.
Province, South Africa. He works with various media, including pen, charcoal, acrylic, digital, and oil paint. Mokwena has participated in numerous group exhibitions and has been featured in publications such as Art Times, Hyper Blog Magazine, and Ntshabele Newspaper. In 2024, Mokwen travelled to Italy to paint a 90-metre-long community memorial mural. In 2025, he completed an internship in printmaking at Artist Proof Studio and practised as an artist and printmaker.
